Objective
To train Nursing graduates competent to exercise leadership in the promotion and maintenance of health, welfare, and quality of life of people as well as to solve health problems presented by different social groups, through holistic care with autonomy, ethical and humanistic attitude, in collaboration with other health professionals, applying the latest technology, in the provision of quality service, concerning cultural diversity and the ecological environment for sustainable development.

The Bachelor's Degree in Nursing graduated from IPN is characterized by the mastery of the nursing method applied in the promotion and encouragement of healthy lifestyles, as well as in the solution of health problems through self-care, with a holistic vision, in different population groups, with scientific, technological, ethical, and humanistic sense.

- Master the scientific, technological, and methodological bases of the nursing method in the different areas of knowledge: biomedical, psychosocial, clinical, epidemiological, statistical, research, and administrative method.
- Master the humanistic bases of nursing practice behavior in the promotion and development of health at the different levels of care and prevention.
- Integrates the methods, techniques, and procedures of the different nursing models and theories.
- Integrates the theoretical-methodological aspects of health care and community nursing in the reproductive, child-adolescent, adult, and old age stages.
- Identifies the causes of mortality at the local and national level based on Public Health programs.
- Masters in the ethical, legal-administrative norms that regulate nursing practice.
- Master the categories and concepts derived from bioethics, given the applications of scientific advances and the use of technology in medicine and nursing care.

Master the constructivist approach in the elaboration of health education programs.
- Master the bases of the anthropology of health in the integral care of the person concerning Mexican multiculturalism.

- Integrates the theoretical and methodological bases that allow him/her to join postgraduate studies and continuing education programs.

- Applies the Nursing Method in the promotion, development, and solution of health problems in the three levels of care and different social contexts, based on the theoretical-methodological foundations of the discipline.
- Assesses and diagnoses the health status of the person, family, and community integrally.
- Plans execute and evaluate nursing interventions in the maintenance and/or recovery of the state of health, chronic disease, and the dying process.
- Applies holistic nursing care to the individual, family, and community at different levels of care and prevention.
- Applies research methodology in the field of nursing and health care.
