Program / Environmental Engineering
Objective
To train engineers to meet the demands and needs of the Public Administration, private initiative, and society in environmental matters with the ability to manage, design, build and operate systems for the prevention, mitigation, or elimination of pollutants in soil, water, and air, as well as to participate in the management, evaluation, and planning of the sustainability of natural resources ethically and efficiently.

Environmental engineers work in research institutes (Instituto de Ingeniería, Instituto Mexicano del Petróleo, Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social, Instituto Nacional de Investigaciones Nucleares, Centro de Investigación y de Estudios Avanzados); private companies of different sectors (food, pharmaceutical, cement, metal mechanics), the health sector and in the government sector (SEMARNAT, INE, Comisión Federal de Electricidad, SAGARPA, PROFEPA), Petróleos Mexicanos, applying their knowledge in the following areas (sectoral analysis)
