Objective

To train graduates in Computer Science capable of providing solutions in information and communication technologies, through the implementation of good management practices and exploitation of high volumes of information based on the use of strategic tools, such as Project Management, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Cybersecurity, that respond to the needs of organizations, from an ethical, socially responsible and sustainable vision, in a global context.

Candidate's Profile

Students entering the Bachelor's degree in Computer Science must have upper secondary level knowledge in basic, social, and administrative sciences, as well as in the use of computer tools, preferably programming, in addition to a basic level of English and skills such as study habits, self-learning, understanding and expressing ideas through analytical reasoning in oral and written form, teamwork, assertive communication and ability to collect, sort and prioritize information, to ensure adequate performance in the academic program of the Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Likewise, they must have a critical, reflective, participative, proactive attitude and values such as respect, tolerance, and social responsibility, coinciding with the ideology and principles of the IPN.

The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science is a professional with solid knowledge in the management of Information and Communication Technologies; leader and technological strategist who develops, implements and directs cutting-edge IT solutions to support competitiveness and decision making in organizations, at the managerial and executive levels, through the management and innovation of cloud computing applications, big data, data analytics, e-commerce, and cybersecurity, under schemes of social responsibility, sustainability, and gender equity.

Academic Requirements

The requirements to become a student at the Institute are:

  1. To comply with the academic background and other requirements indicated in the respective call for applications.
  2. To take the admission exam for the higher level.
  3. To be selected for admission.

The graduate in computer science is inserted in public and private companies of any sector, leading and innovating in the fields of business intelligence applications, data analytics, cloud applications, and e-commerce, applying his knowledge in modeling and solution design. He also leads ventures in the creation of IT products and services, aiming to meet the needs in the management of emerging technologies.
