Objective

It trains mechatronics engineers with the necessary competencies to solve problems of design, construction, maintenance, programming, and control of mechatronic systems, developing and applying new technology, with the necessary skills to develop a life and career plan, conducting themselves with ethics, responsibility, and tolerance in their professional and personal development environments.

Candidate's Profile

The entering student must have a solid integral formation with the competencies of the upper secondary level in Physics and Mathematics, handling of information and communication technologies, with a basic command of the English language, as well as the ability to work in a team, with leadership attitudes, proactive, desire to improve, conducting themselves at all times with ethics, responsibility, and tolerance, in their personal and professional development environments.

  • Know basic aspects about the handling of computer equipment.
  • Master solid concepts in Physical-Mathematical Sciences.
  • Understand the concepts of Mathematical Logic.
  • Master basic aspects of the English language.

  • To have completed a program of studies compatible with the IPN Upper Secondary Level.
  • Solve mathematical problems applying different approaches.
  • Explain and interpret the results obtained through mathematical procedures and contrast them with established models or real situations.
  • Quantify, represent and contrast, experimentally or mathematically, the magnitudes of space, time, and the physical properties of surrounding objects.

It is an interdisciplinary professional capable of designing, manufacturing and constructing mechatronic devices and systems, as well as automating industrial processes with mastery of a second language and the ability to integrate into work teams to develop and use new technology, which is applied ethically and responsibly to solve the needs of the social environment and in harmony with the environment.

The current occupational field of the mechatronics engineer is in companies in the Automotive, Manufacturing, Petrochemical, Metal-Mechanical, Food, and Electromechanical industries, mainly in the design, manufacturing, and programming of components in industrial systems and specialized equipment, as well as in the promotion and activation of professional services companies.
