Academic Requirements

The requirements to become a student at the Institute are:

  1. To comply with the academic background and other requirements indicated in the respective call for applications.
  2. To take the admission exam for the higher level.
  3. To be selected for admission.

Work Field

Companies producing goods and services in both the public and private sectors employ mechanical engineers in areas of industrial design and research as well as in production processes at the installation, maintenance, and operation levels.

The field of mechanical engineering is in important sectors such as:

  • The Automotive Assembly and Parts Production Industry.
  • The Metal Mechanical Industry.
  • Chemical and Petrochemical Industry.
  • The Household Appliance Production Industry.
  • Manufacturing Design Research.
  • Services.
  • Teaching.

Due to the current conditions of the labor market, the demand for Mechanical Engineers has increased, so the occupational trend will increase. It is considered that this proposal is feasible since the Academic Units involved have most of the resources.
