Program objectives

To prepare physicians with solid academic preparation, high technical resolution, with a comprehensive vision to meet the needs and problems of aging and the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of their pathology. The Specialty in Geriatrics seeks to train professionals whose medical competence in the various aspects of the aging process allows them to provide holistic care for the elderly, where psychosocial aspects are as familiar as the technical ones, and to be able to have a new vision of medicine with humanistic nuances, a high sense of bioethics and social disposition to help and participate.
