    Disciplinary Competences

    Professional Skills

  • Controls the variables involved in the most commonly used welding and cutting metals in the domestic industry, in order to obtain welds that meet the requirements of national and international standards.

  • Applies tests of tension, compression, bending, hardness and impact to determine the mechanical properties of the metals used in industrial welding and subsequently with them, to qualify welds and welders based on national or international specifications or standards.
  • Applies non-destructive tests (ultrasonic, magnetic particles, penetrating liquids, etc.) to determine the sanity of the welds, without destroying the tested materials.

Academic Requirements

To enter the High School Programmes of the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN), the applicant must fulfill the requirements established in the allocation contest of the Metropolitan Commission of Public Institutions of High School Education (COMIPEMS). Once the results are published, the student must complete the registration process mentioned by the contest publication.

  • Have been selected in the admission exam.
  • Submit middle school certificate.
  • Minimum average of 7.
  • Cover the cooperation fee.
