The audit confirms that the Politécnico, led by Arturo Reyes Sandoval, also complied with austerity criteria.
In its most recent report for 2024, the Auditoría Superior de la Federación (ASF) confirmed that the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN) recorded no irregularities of any kind.
According to the document submitted to the Chamber of Deputies, the ASF conducted several audits of the IPN—directed by Dr. Arturo Reyes Sandoval—resulting in 25 findings. Of these, 16 showed no irregularities, while the remaining nine were resolved by the institution before the report was issued.
The report highlights that the Administrative and Financial Unit, headed by Dr. Javier Tapia Santoyo, provided all the required information for the inspection process, which ultimately yielded positive results.
The ASF noted that the audit evaluated the IPN’s financial management of federal public revenues and expenditures, as well as related operations.
This evaluation ensured that all resources were properly collected, administered, recorded, and reported in the institution’s financial statements and the Public Accounts.
“It is concluded that, in general terms, the Instituto Politécnico Nacional complied with the applicable legal and regulatory provisions,” the ASF report states.
In the section on Financial Management and Compliance Audit, the ASF explained that the IPN was selected based on the criteria outlined in the institution’s Annual Audit Program for the Oversight of the 2024 Public Account, in accordance with its Strategic Plan.
The report also confirmed that the IPN met the Republican Austerity Guidelines established for the Federal Public Administration and that no employee received an annual salary exceeding that of the President of Mexico.
