IPN Students Participate in Banxico Chair 2025

The event aims to strengthen students’ understanding of economic and financial matters

Students from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN) took part in the 2025 Banco de México Chair held this Thursday.

The session fostered interaction between students and officials from Banxico, featuring the participation of Ms. Corina Tovar Ureña, Deputy Manager of Regulation at the institution.

Representing IPN’s Director General, Dr. Arturo Reyes Sandoval, was Dr. Javier Tapia Santoyo, Secretary of Administration, accompanied by Professor Salvador Monroy Saldivar, Director of the Escuela Superior de Economía (Higher School of Economics).

The event marked the fourth of five days in the program, which includes a series of ten lectures on practical aspects of central banking delivered by specialists from Banco de México.

During the session, participants discussed the topics “Mexican Financial System” and “Financial Stability”, both designed to enhance the economic and financial knowledge of the student community.
