Students explore automotive design, customization, and performance technologies.

With more than 60 vehicles showcased in the tuning and performance categories—alongside exhibition stands, expert talks, and hands-on workshops—the Escuela Superior de Ingeniería Mecánica y Eléctrica (ESIME), Azcapotzalco Unit, hosted the Expo Performance ISISA 2025.

The event gave students from this IPN campus the opportunity to engage with the latest in vehicle design, customization, equipment, and emerging automotive technologies.

Organized by students from the Automotive Systems Engineering program (ISISA), the event broadened participants’ understanding of the automotive sector. Attendees explored current trends, materials, and techniques used to personalize vehicles according to individual preferences, with audio systems also playing a fundamental role in customization.

Key presentations during the event included “Introduction to Automotive Detailing,” “Vacuum Carburizing Heat Treatment of Automotive Parts,” “Green Hydrogen as an Energy Vector in Mobility,” and “Solutions to Technological Challenges in the Automotive Industry for Sustainable Mobility.” These were delivered by specialists in the field, complemented by introductory workshops on automotive wrapping, carbon fiber application, and vehicle protection techniques.

After a 13-year hiatus, the event featured the participation of renowned exhibitors such as Diablito Performance, JC Custom Kits, Paps Wraps, The Lab México, R-Performance, Midnight Cars Garage, Bull’s Sound, Padilla Performance, Rtools, and All Audio & DS18.

Students from the Automotive Systems, Mechanical Engineering, and Industrial Robotics programs at ESIME Azcapotzalco showed particular interest in horsepower enhancement techniques and engaged in meaningful exchanges with the participating exhibitors.
