“My Right, My Place”: Over 27,000 Students Secured a Spot at IPN for High School Education

● The IPN increased its initial offering by 1,883 spots, raising the total from 25,763, in compliance with the directive of President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.

● The SEP will open a late registration period for applicants who did not obtain a place at the Politécnico. Registration will be available from August 21 to 28, 2025, via the portal miderechomilugar.gob.mx.

As part of the assignment process for Upper Secondary Education in the Metropolitan Area of the Valley of Mexico (ZMVM), under the program “My Right, My Place”, the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN) announces that a total of 27,613 students successfully secured a place at the institution for the 2025–2026 school year.

Although the Politécnico’s initial offering consisted of 25,763 spots, an additional 1,883 places were made available, fulfilling the commitment to expand educational coverage as instructed by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.

Secretary of Public Education Mario Delgado Carrillo highlighted on his X account that, under the new educational model “My Right, My Place”, every applicant now has a guaranteed spot, ensuring that no student will be left without a school or high school education.

This exam, conducted entirely online and digitally, is supported by Artificial Intelligence and features unique questions in each session to guarantee equal conditions for all candidates. The test was carried out in coordination with the UNAM.

The IPN informs that, to ensure “No One is Left Without a School”, the SEP will open a late registration period for applicants who did not secure a spot at the Politécnico. This will allow access to various public Upper Secondary Education options through the platform miderechomilugar.gob.mx.

The registration period will run from August 21 to 28, 2025, during which applicants can check the availability of schools and programs in real time and complete a direct pre-

enrollment for the educational option that best fits their interests and needs.
